Andrew Rumsey Instore - Collodion Album Launch

We're delighted to welcome Andrew Rumsey back to the shop for an instore performance from 6.30pm on Friday 28th February to launch his brand new album 'Collodion'.

Andrew joined us in 2023 for his debut 'Evensongs' which won widespread acclaim (from Mark Radcliffe on the BBC Radio 2 Folk Show, among others) as an unexpected gem of pastoral psych-folk, informed by his explorations of the intersection between landscape and theology as Anglican Bishop of Ramsbury.

Its follow-up was once again recorded on a single day, in the historic setting of Rushall Church in Wiltshire, by RealWorld Studios’ chief engineer, Katie May. With Andrew being joined by longtime collaborator David Perry (who'll be with him on the night) on guitar and organ, plus jazz musician Cameron Saint on double bass. Collodion is a chemical used to develop images in early ‘tintype’ photography: these short songs, likewise, capture fleeting moods and moments before they fade.

This is a FREE event but you can pre-order a copy of 'Collodion' from us in-store or over the phone to guarantee your spot.
